The emotional farewell of The Daddies during their last dance in the round of 16 of Indonesia Masters 2025 against the Malaysian pair brought tears on Sunday (26/1/2025). Not only Mohammad Ahsan shed tears, but Hendra Setiawan also struggled to speak as he tried to hold back his emotions during the Moment of Honor event in front of fans and media.
“This is actually a mixed moment for me. I am sad because I won’t be able to experience Istora and play in other international championships anymore, but I am also touched because everyone could be here this morning. I am very grateful,” Hendra said while fighting back tears.
“Thank you for taking the time to come here, I am happy to end my career at Istora,” he added.
