Prabowo and MBS Enhance Humanitarian Aid for Gaza

Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have expressed their deep concern about the humanitarian crisis in Gaza as a result of the ongoing Israeli military offensive. This concern was highlighted during the official meeting between Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud (MBS) during Prabowo’s state visit to the Kingdom. Both countries have agreed to intensify coordination in providing emergency aid and broader humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza.

The official joint statement released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) emphasized the commitment of both nations to continue offering humanitarian aid and support for recovery efforts in response to Israeli aggression. Beyond discussing the Gaza situation, Saudi Arabia and Indonesia also emphasized their mutual determination to deepen cooperation in ensuring international stability and security. They promised to work together to promote regional peace and enhance global resilience.

The meeting took place at Al-Salam Palace in a friendly and warm atmosphere, highlighting the strong strategic ties between the two countries. Pictures published by SPA showed President Prabowo and Crown Prince MBS engaged in discussions, with flags of Indonesia and Saudi Arabia in the background. This commitment reflects Indonesia’s consistent foreign policy of supporting the Palestinian cause and engaging in humanitarian diplomacy on the global stage.
