The Free Health Check in Schools program (CKG Sekolah) was officially launched on August 4, 2025, with enthusiastic participation from students in 12 schools. Fritz Edward Siregar, Deputy for Information Coordination and Communication Evaluation at the Presidential Communication Office (PCO), highlighted that CKG Sekolah is a vital step in nurturing Indonesia’s golden generation. The school-based initiative is part of the broader Free Health Check (CKG) program initiated in February 2025.
President Prabowo Subianto’s Fast Results for the Best Outcomes program prioritizes CKG as a crucial element in building a healthier nation. The program started with health checks at community health centers and has now expanded to schools nationwide, from elementary to high schools. During the launch event at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 8 in South Jakarta, Presidential Chief of Staff Lieutenant General (Ret.) Anto Mukti Putranto stressed the importance of parental involvement in encouraging children to participate in the health checks.
At MIN 8 South Jakarta, 617 students underwent a variety of health screenings conducted by medical personnel from the Srengseng Sawah and Jagakarsa Community Health Centers. The screenings cover nutritional status, blood pressure, dental check-ups, mental health, and other essential health aspects tailored to different grade levels. CKG aims to provide free health checks to 60 million beneficiaries by the end of 2025 and gradually expand its scope to cover the entire Indonesian population.
The program is delivered through various channels such as community health centers, integrated health posts, schools, and local communities. Digital integration through the SATUSEHAT Mobile app and the Ministry of Health’s WhatsApp channel enhances accessibility to CKG services. Currently, over 15 million individuals have benefitted from the program, with a target to reach over 53 million students in schools nationwide. CKG embodies a transformative approach in healthcare, focusing on preventive and promotive care to ensure a healthier future for Indonesia.
