Prabowo Subianto, the President of Indonesia, embarked on a journey from Solo to Klaten, Central Java, on a sunny Monday afternoon. The purpose of his visit was to inaugurate the Merah Putih Village Cooperative Program, a key initiative of his administration aimed at boosting economic development. As his motorcade made its way through the town, enthusiastic residents, teachers, and schoolchildren lined the streets, cheering and waving at the President. Dressed in a brown suit and black peci (cap), President Prabowo greeted the crowd with a warm smile, even handing out shirts along the route. The excitement only grew as he arrived in Klaten, where more residents had gathered to catch a glimpse of him. The official launch ceremony took place in Bentangan Village, Wonosari District, marking the beginning of a program that will see more than 80,000 cooperatives established throughout Indonesia by October 28, 2025. These cooperatives play a vital role in President Prabowo’s economic strategy, aiming to strengthen rural economies, support farmers, and create new job opportunities, ultimately fostering inclusive and sustainable development.
